'If she is of pure conduct, or if she is free of sin, let her here perform the purification of herself, with the sanction of the great sage.'

And having learned the wish of the sage, and what is in the mind of Sītā, who desires to give proof [of her purity], tell me then quickly.

evaṃ bhavatu bhadraṃ vo yathā tuṣyati rāghavaḥ | tathā kariṣyate sītā daivataṃ hi patiḥ striyāḥ
"So be it; blessings upon you; as Rāghava is satisfied, so shall Sītā do; for the husband is the deity of a woman."
"ऐसा ही हो; तुम्हारा कल्याण हो; जैसे राघव संतुष्ट हों, वैसे ही सीता करेंगी; क्योंकि स्त्री का पति ही (उसका) देवता है।"

Thus addressed by the sage, all the messengers of Rāma, of great might, returning to Rāghava, all spoke the sage's word.
