FAQs
How Lipi works
Short answers to the questions everyone asks first. Anything else — write to support and a person replies.
Getting started
How do I start without paying?
Open any board and class from the catalogue — the first chapter of every subject is free, and the whole World Heritage library (Gita, Bible, world classics) is free forever, no sign-in needed.
How do I find my exact chapter?
Use the search box for a chapter name in any language, or browse Board → Class → Subject. Ask Lipi also finds the right lesson from a plain question.
Do I need an account to read?
No — free chapters and the heritage library open without one. An account adds progress, notes, starred chapters and purchases.
Signing in
How do I sign in?
With your email and password, with Google, or password-free: choose "Email me a sign-in code" and type the 6-digit code we send.
I never set a password — how do I get in?
Use "Email me a sign-in code" on the sign-in page. Accounts moved from the old lipi.study work exactly this way, with purchases intact.
Buying and refunds
What does a module include?
One board and class completely — every available subject, narration, Shorts, quizzes, notes and monthly AI credits. ₹499 + GST a month (₹588.82 charged), cancel anytime.
How do refunds work?
Cancelling stops renewal and access runs to the end of the paid period. The full policy is on the refunds page.
Can my child buy something by mistake?
No. Child profiles can never pay — purchases belong to the parent account.
Parents and profiles
Can two children share one account?
Yes — create a profile for each child. Progress, revision and AI use stay separate per child.
What can I see as a parent?
Subject-by-subject activity and progress for each child, and every AI interaction they had — what it was for and how much was used.
Devices and audio
Which devices work?
Any modern phone, tablet or computer browser. Nothing to install.
Why is narration missing on one line?
Narration is generated per line and coverage grows continuously; a silent line usually plays within a day. Recorded human audio is used where it exists.
