Partner Programme Terms
Last updated: 14 September 2026
The Lipi partner programme lets teachers, tutors, school groups and creators earn a commission on module subscriptions bought by learners they introduce to Lipi. These terms apply to every partner account and sit alongside the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By applying to the programme you accept them.
Joining
- You need a Lipi account; your partner account, link and earnings are tied to it. One partner account per person or organisation.
- Applications are reviewed by Lipi. A partner account can be pending, approved, suspended or rejected. Your link can be shared while an application is pending, but commission accrues only on payments made while the account is approved.
- We may decline or suspend an account without giving a reason, for example where the audience described does not match how the link is used.
Your link and who is credited
- You receive a personal link carrying your partner code. Opening it stores that code on the visitor’s device for 90 days.
- Attribution is first touch and permanent. A learner is credited to the first partner whose link they opened, at the moment they create their account or first check out. A later link from another partner cannot take that credit, and a learner is never credited to more than one partner.
- You cannot be credited for your own account, and an account that was introduced by a partner cannot later claim itself.
What earns commission
- Commission is recurring. It is earned on every module payment a learner credited to you makes that the payment provider captures: the first month and each monthly renewal after it, for as long as they keep paying. Clicks, sign-ups and free content earn nothing.
- Commission is calculated on the taxable value of the payment, not on the tax. In India a module is ₹499 plus 18% GST; commission is a share of the ₹499. GST is collected for the government and is not commissionable.
- The standard rate is 10% of the taxable value. A launch promotion currently doubles this to 20% until 2026-12-31; payments captured after the promotion ends earn the standard rate.
- Every commission records the rate and taxable value it was created with. A later change to your rate, or the end of a promotion, never rewrites earlier commissions.
- A month the learner does not pay for earns nothing: a failed or refunded charge, or a month Lipi gives free (for example the member referral reward). Where a free month is delivered by charging and refunding, it can appear in your history as a commission that is then reversed. If a learner cancels or their subscription lapses, commission stops with their last captured payment; what was earned stays earned.
- Commission accrues in the currency the learner paid in. If you have earnings in more than one currency, write to us before requesting a withdrawal and we will pay them separately.
Maturation, refunds and reversals
- A commission matures 7 days after the payment it comes from, which covers the learner’s refund window. Only matured commission can be withdrawn.
- If a payment is refunded or reversed before its commission has been paid out, the commission on that payment is reversed. Commission on earlier months the learner kept is not affected. Commission already paid out is not automatically clawed back; we may contact you to settle it where the refund follows misuse.
- We may withhold, reverse or recover commission that results from a breach of these terms, from fraudulent or self-referred purchases, or from payments the provider later disputes.
Withdrawals
- Add a bank account or UPI id on your dashboard, then request a withdrawal of your matured balance. A withdrawal needs at least ₹500 of matured earnings.
- Withdrawals are reviewed and transferred by our team, normally within a few working days of the request. If a withdrawal is declined, the amount returns to your available balance.
- Amounts are paid after any deduction the law requires us to make. You are responsible for declaring and paying tax on what you earn from the programme. Where we need tax or identity details to pay you, we will ask for them before transferring.
- Payout details are stored encrypted; only the last digits of an account number are shown on your dashboard.
What you can see
- Your dashboard shows clicks, sign-ups and paid orders as daily counts, your commissions (one per captured payment) with their status, and your withdrawals.
- You never see who clicked, who signed up or who paid. Learner identity is not shared with partners, and we do not confirm whether a named person is a Lipi learner.
Conduct
- Describe Lipi accurately. Do not promise outcomes, prices, discounts or features that Lipi does not offer, and do not present yourself as Lipi or as its employee.
- No unsolicited messaging, no placing the link where the audience did not ask for it, and no bidding on or registering Lipi’s name or brand in search advertising or domains.
- Do not buy modules through your own link, ask others to buy for you, or offer cash back or other payment to people for signing up. Do not use bots, fake accounts or automation to generate clicks or sign-ups.
- Coupon, cashback and deal sites, and paid placement of your link, need our written approval first.
- Follow the Terms of Service in how you use Lipi’s content: you may quote it to describe the product, not copy lessons, audio or video.
Changes and ending
- We may change the commission rate, the promotion, the maturation window or the minimum withdrawal by updating this page. Changes apply to payments captured after the change; commission already earned keeps its rate.
- You can leave the programme at any time from your dashboard or by writing to us; matured commission is still paid out. We may suspend or end your account for a breach of these terms, in which case unmatured commission is forfeited and matured commission earned honestly is still paid.
- We may end the programme with notice on this page. Commission earned before the end date is honoured.
Relationship
Partners are independent. Nothing here creates employment, agency, partnership in the legal sense or any authority to bind Lipi. Commission is the only payment due for introductions made under the programme.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the company’s registered place of business have jurisdiction.
