దీక్షకు సిద్ధంకండి Deekshaku Siddhamkandi

అక్టోబర్ 2న సామూహిక ఉపవాస దీక్షలు చేసి ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ లక్ష్యాన్ని చాటాలని, గాంధీజీ ఆశయాలపై మన నమ్మకాన్ని చూపాలని తెలంగాణ ప్రజాసమితి ప్రజలకు పిలుపునిచ్చింది.

The Telangana Praja Samithi calls people to hold collective fasts on October 2 to proclaim the goal of a separate Telangana and to show deep faith in Gandhiji's ideals.

గత తొమ్మిది నెలలుగా శాంతియుతంగా పెద్ద ప్రజా ఉద్యమం సాగుతున్నా, పాలకులు దాన్ని అర్థం చేసుకోవడం లేదు. అందుకే ఈ నిరసనలకు అర్థం ఉందా అని కొందరు యువకులు సందేహిస్తున్నారు.

For nine months a huge peaceful people's movement has gone on, yet the unresponsive rulers do not understand it; so some youths are beginning to doubt whether these protests have any meaning.

గాంధీజీ పేరు చెప్పుకొనే పెద్దమనుషులు ఆయన ఆశయాలను వదిలి స్వార్థంతో బతుకుతున్నారు. దేశమంతా అల్లర్లు, హత్యలు, కాల్పులతో రక్తంతో, కన్నీళ్లతో తడిసిపోయింది. ఆంధ్రపాలకుల కాలంలో తెలంగాణ వెనుకబడింది.

The big men who live on Gandhiji's name have abandoned his teachings and seek only their own profit; the whole country is stained with blood and tears from riots, killings and firings, and under the Andhra rulers Telangana fell behind.

ఆత్మగౌరవం కాపాడుకోవడానికి తెలంగాణ ప్రజలు ధర్మయుద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు. ఈ పోరాటంలో వందలాది మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు, వేలాది యువకులు అంగవిహీనులయ్యారు, లక్షలాది మంది జైలుకు వెళ్లారు.

To break their bonds of slavery and protect their self-respect the people of Telangana wage a righteous fight; hundreds have lost their lives, thousands of youths have been crippled, and lakhs have been jailed in the satyagraha struggle.

రోజురోజుకు హింస, రక్తపాతం పెరగడంతో ప్రజలు కోపంతో రగిలిపోతున్నారు. యువతరం ఆవేశం కట్టలు తెంచుకుంటోంది. అహింస సిద్ధాంతంపై నమ్మకం సడలే ప్రమాదం ఉంది.

Day by day the cruel violence and bloodshed are enraging the people; the anger of the youth is overflowing, and there is a danger that faith in the principle of nonviolence may weaken.

గాంధీ శతజయంతి సంవత్సరంలో ఆయన అహింస విధానాలను ఆచరించి నిజమైన భారతీయులమని నిరూపించాలి. సత్యం, అహింసలతో పరాయి ప్రభుత్వాన్ని తరిమినట్లే, ప్రజాస్వామిక మార్గంలోనే ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ సాధించాలి.

In Gandhi's centenary year we must prove ourselves true Indians by practising his methods; just as we drove out foreign rule through truth and nonviolence, we must win a separate Telangana through democratic means.

కేంద్రం ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణకు ఒప్పుకోకుంటే అక్టోబర్ 10 నుండి నిరాహారదీక్ష మొదలవుతుందని విద్యార్థి నాయకుడు ప్రకటించాడు. అక్టోబర్ 2న ఉదయం 9 నుండి సాయంత్రం 5 వరకు అందరూ చేరి ఉపవాస దీక్షను విజయవంతం చేయాలని పిలుపు. సత్యమేవ జయతే.

The student leader announced that if the central government does not agree to a separate Telangana, an indefinite fast will begin on October 10; on October 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., all should gather and make the fasting programme a triumph, so that justice prevails and truth alone wins.
