లక్ష్యసిద్ధి Lakshyasiddhi

దేశానికి స్వాతంత్ర్యం వచ్చినప్పుడు నెహ్రూ చెప్పిన మాటలతో వ్యాసం మొదలవుతుంది: అర్ధరాత్రి వేళ ప్రపంచం నిద్రిస్తున్నప్పుడు, చాలాకాలం అణచివేయబడిన జాతి తన గొంతు వినిపిస్తుంది అని. ఆ మాటలు ఇప్పుడు తెలంగాణకు సరిగ్గా సరిపోతాయని రచయిత అంటారు.

The editorial opens with Nehru's words at India's independence, that at midnight a long-suppressed people finds its voice, and says those words fit Telangana exactly.

జూన్‌ ఒకటవ తేదీ అర్ధరాత్రి, ప్రపంచం నిద్రిస్తున్నవేళ, తెలంగాణ జాతి తన స్వాతంత్ర్యాన్ని ప్రకటించుకుంది. అది తెలంగాణ సమాజం అంతా కలిసి చేసిన సమష్టి ప్రకటన. ఆకాశంలో రంగు రంగుల వెలుగులు, ఇంద్రధనస్సు పూసినట్లు అంతా ఆనందంతో నిండిపోయింది.

At midnight on June 1, while the world slept, the people of Telangana made their collective declaration of statehood, and the whole region was filled with emotion and joy.

రాష్ట్రం ఏర్పడిన వేళ మూడు తరాల బిడ్డల కళ్ళ నుంచి ఆనందంతో, ఉద్వేగంతో కన్నీళ్ళు వచ్చాయి. 1969 ఉద్యమం, లాఠీలు, తూటాలు, గాయాలు ఇలా ఎన్నో పోరాట జ్ఞాపకాలు అందరి మనసుల్లో మెదిలాయి. ఆనందంతో పాటు ఆ బాధాకర జ్ఞాపకాలు కూడా అందరి హృదయాలను కదిలించాయి.

As the state came into being, three generations wept with emotion, and memories of the long struggle, the lathis, the bullets and the wounds, mingled with their joy and stirred every heart.

తెలంగాణలోని ప్రతి ప్రదేశం ఉద్యమ చరిత్రతో ముడిపడి ఉంది. సచివాలయంలో నల్లపోచమ్మ గుడి, పరేడ్‌ గ్రౌండ్‌, హైదరాబాదు వీధులు, ఉస్మానియా క్యాంపస్‌, గన్‌పార్క్‌ అమరవీరుల స్తూపం ఇవన్నీ పోరాటానికి సాక్షులు. ఒకప్పుడు అనుమతి దొరకని చోటనే ఇప్పుడు ముఖ్యమంత్రి గౌరవ వందనం స్వీకరించడం గొప్ప మార్పు.

Every place in Telangana is bound up with the history of the movement, from the Secretariat temple and the Parade Ground to the streets of Hyderabad, the Osmania campus and the Gun Park martyrs' memorial.

సొంత రాష్ట్రం వచ్చింది గనుక ఇక జాతి అన్ని రంగాల్లో అభివృద్ధి చెందాలి. వలస పాలనలో దెబ్బతిన్న భాష, సంస్కృతి, జీవన విధానం మళ్ళీ బలపడాలి. ఇది ఒక్క రంగానికి సంబంధించినది కాదు, అందరూ కలిసి చేయవలసిన సమష్టి యజ్ఞం అని రచయిత చెబుతారు.

Now that statehood is won, the people must work for all-round development, reviving the language, culture and way of life damaged under outside rule, in a shared effort that belongs to no single field.

ప్రజలకు ఇప్పుడు కావలసింది కడుపు నిండా తిండి, కంటి నిండా నిద్ర, రేపటి గురించి భయం లేని జీవితం. ఇవి కనీస అవసరాలు, గౌరవంగా బతకడం ప్రజల ప్రాథమిక హక్కు. రుణమాఫీ, రెండు పడకగదుల ఇల్లు వంటి సంక్షేమ హామీలు, నీటిపారుదల, పరిపాలనా సంస్కరణలు అవసరమని వ్యాసం చెబుతుంది.

What people need at once is enough food, peaceful sleep and a life free of fear for tomorrow, and the editorial holds that welfare promises like loan waivers and two-bedroom homes, fair irrigation and administrative reform are all needed.

మూడు తరాలు స్వేచ్ఛ కోసం పోరాడిన అనుభవం ఉంది గనుక తెలంగాణ భవిష్యత్తుపై ఎలాంటి సందేహం అవసరం లేదు. వనరులు పుష్కలంగా ఉన్నాయి, ప్రజలు కష్టపడే తత్వం గలవారు. స్వతంత్ర తెలంగాణ అభివృద్ధి బాటలో నడిచి ప్రపంచానికి ఆదర్శంగా నిలుస్తుందని ఆశతో వ్యాసం ముగుస్తుంది.

Drawing on three generations of longing for freedom, the editorial ends in hope that a free Telangana, rich in resources and hard-working people, will walk the path of progress and stand as a model for the world.
