ஏறு தழுவுதல் Eru Thazhuvuthal

மாடுகள் தமிழர்களுக்கு வீரம், விளைச்சல், செழிப்பு, செல்வம் ஆகியவற்றின் அடையாளம். அந்த மாடுகளோடு பின்னிப் பிணைந்த பண்பாடே ஏறு தழுவுதல்.

For Tamils, cattle stand for valour, harvest, prosperity and wealth; the tradition of bull embracing grew interwoven with that life.

Unlike western bullfights that use weapons and may kill the bull, here the one who embraces and subdues the bull unarmed is honoured; preserving this heritage is everyone's duty.
