Summary
நிலம் பொது - நிலம், நீர், காற்று, வானம் போன்ற இயற்கை வளங்கள் புனிதமானவை; செவ்விந்தியர்கள் நிலத்தைத் தாயாகக் கருதுகின்றனர்; இயற்கையைப் பாதுகாப்பது நம் கடமை.
Nillam Pothu (Land Is Sacred): Land, water, air and sky are sacred; Native Americans revere the earth as mother; we must protect nature.
செவ்விந்தியப் பழங்குடியினத் தலைவர் சியாட்டல், அமெரிக்கத் தலைவருக்கு எழுதிய கடிதத்தில் நிலம் விற்பனையை மறுத்து, நிலத்தை வாங்க முடியாது என்றும், அது புனிதம் என்றும் கூறுகிறார்.
Chief Seattle writes that land cannot be bought or sold; earth, water and air are sacred.
மனிதன் இயற்கையின் ஒரு பகுதி; நிலத்தைப் பிரித்து உடைமையாக்க முடியாது. நம் காலம் கடந்தாலும் நிலம் நிலைத்திருக்கும்.
Humans are part of nature; land cannot be owned. The land endures after our generation passes.
நீர்நிலைகளைப் பாதுகாத்தல், மரங்களை நடுதல், காடுகளைக் காத்தல், இயற்கை முறை வேளாண்மை - நிலவளம் காக்க இன்று செய்ய வேண்டிய பணிகள்.
Protect water bodies, plant trees, preserve forests and practise natural farming to guard the land.
