ஒழுக்கம் எல்லார்க்கும் சிறப்பைத் தருகிறது. அதனால் ஒழுக்கத்தை உயிரைவிட மேலானதாகப் பேணிக் காக்க வேண்டும்.

Good conduct brings honour to all, so it must be guarded even more carefully than one's own life.

ஒழுக்கமாக வாழ்பவர் மேன்மை அடைவர். ஒழுக்கம் தவறுபவர் வாங்கக் கூடாத பழியை வாங்கிக் கொள்வர்.

For those who neither give to others nor enjoy it themselves, even heaped-up crores of wealth are as good as nothing.

பிறருக்கு உதவாததால் யாராலும் விரும்பப்படாதவர் பெற்ற செல்வம், ஊரின் நடுவில் நஞ்சு மரம் பழுத்தது போன்றதாகும்.
