रोजनिशी Rojnishi (A Diary)

या पाठात सांगितले आहे की रोजनिशी लिहिल्याने माणसाला जीवनाकडे बघण्याची नवी दृष्टी मिळते. वैष्णवी नावाच्या मुलीने लिहिलेल्या तीन दिवसांच्या डायरीच्या पानांद्वारे रोजनिशी कशी लिहावी, हे या पाठात दाखवले आहे.

The lesson opens with the idea that keeping a diary gives a person a fresh outlook on life, and it is presented so that students develop the habit of diary-writing. For this purpose, three days of diary entries written by a girl named Vaishnavi are given as an example.

पहिल्या नोंदीत वैष्णवी सांगते की तिच्या शाळेत बालदिन साजरा झाला. या दिवशी झालेल्या वेशभूषा स्पर्धेत तिने क्रांतिज्योती सावित्रीबाई फुले यांची वेशभूषा केली होती.

In the entry dated 14 November, Vaishnavi records that a cultural programme and a costume competition were organized at her school for Children's Day, in which she herself dressed up as Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule.

दुसऱ्या नोंदीत वैष्णवी लिहिते की तिच्या वर्गाला शेतशिवारात फिरायला नेण्यात आले, जेणेकरून कापणीचा हंगाम कसा असतो हे प्रत्यक्ष पाहता येईल. तिथे ज्वारी, तुरीच्या शेंगा व कापूस अशी पिके दिसली, आणि मुलांनी बोरांच्या झाडाची चवदार बोरे मनसोक्त खाल्ली.

In the entry dated 15 November, Vaishnavi records the experience of visiting the fields. The teacher took the students to the village fields to actually see the 'harvest season', where they saw crops of jowar, pigeon-pea pods and cotton. Eager to eat fruit, the children knocked down berries from a berry tree and ate them to their heart's content.

तिसऱ्या नोंदीत वैष्णवी सांगते की तिचा वाढदिवस होता, आणि तो साजरा करण्यासाठी ती एका आदिवासी वसतिगृहात गेली. तिथे तिने मुलांना खाऊ वाटला. आई-वडिलांपासून दूर राहणाऱ्या त्या मुलांना पाहून तिला खूप गहिवरून आले.

In the final entry dated 17 November, Vaishnavi records that on her birthday she visited a hostel run by the tribal welfare department and distributed snacks to the children there. Seeing those children, who had come from remote areas for their education and lived far from their parents, deeply moved Vaishnavi.

वसतिगृहातील मुलांचे कष्ट व शिकण्याची जिद्द पाहून वैष्णवीला स्वतःच्या आयुष्याची किंमत नव्याने कळली आणि तिला शिकण्याची नवी उमेद मिळाली. रोजनिशी लिहिल्याने अशा अनुभवांची नोंद राहते व त्यातून शिकायला मिळते, हा या पाठाचा संदेश आहे.

Seeing the tribal hostel children's eagerness to learn and the hardships they endured made Vaishnavi realise how many comforts she herself enjoyed, and this gave her a fresh zeal for learning. The lesson's core message is that recording such experiences through a diary allows them to be revisited and learned from again and again.
