पिल्लू जमिनीवर पडताच पक्षिणी लगेच झेप घेते. तसा तू माझ्यासाठी धावून ये.

The moment a chick falls to the ground from the nest, the mother bird leaps at once. Likewise, O Vitthal, rush to help this servant of yours.

भुकेले वासरू ओरडते तर गाय हंबरून धावते. तसा तू माझ्याकडे धावून ये.

When a hungry calf cries, the cow lows loudly and runs to it. In the same way, rush to me.

जंगलात वणवा लागला तर हरिणी आपल्या पाडसासाठी चिंतित होते. माझीही अशीच अवस्था आहे.

When a forest fire spreads and a fawn is trapped, the mother deer is deeply anxious. I am in such a state; therefore rush to me.

चातक पक्षी मेघाला पावसासाठी विनवतो. तशीच व्याकुळतेने मी तुला विनवतो.

As the chatak bird begs the clouds for rain, so I beseech you, O Vitthal; come to my aid with equal eagerness.
