सर्व विश्वचि व्हावे सुखी Sarva Vishvachi Vhave Sukhi

आपण नेहमी स्वतःसाठी मागतो, पण संत ज्ञानेश्वरांनी विश्वात्मक देवाला सारे जग सुखी व्हावे म्हणून प्रार्थना केली. हीच प्रार्थना म्हणजे पसायदान.

We usually pray for ourselves, but Sant Dnyaneshwar prayed to the all-pervading God for the happiness of the whole world. That prayer is the Pasaydan.

ज्ञानेश्वरी ग्रंथ पूर्ण होत असताना संत निवृत्तीनाथांनी ज्ञानेश्वरांना सांगितले, की सर्वांसाठी देवाजवळ काहीतरी मागा. त्यातून पसायदान निर्माण झाले.

As the Dnyaneshwari was being completed, Sant Nivruttinath told Dnyaneshwar to ask God something for everyone; out of that came the Pasaydan.

फुले, फळे, झाडे, नद्या, समुद्र, सूर्य, चंद्र, तारे एकोप्याने राहतात. त्यांचा दाखला देत ज्ञानेश्वर म्हणतात, आपणही गुण्यागोविंदाने राहावे.

Flowers, trees, rivers, sea, sun, moon and stars live in harmony; pointing to them, Dnyaneshwar says we too should live together in goodwill.

नामदेव अहंकार न लागो म्हणतात, एकनाथ सर्वांभूती भगवद्भाव सांगतात, तुकाराम संतसंग व एकमेकांना मदत मागतात, रामदास जनहिताची तळमळ मांडतात.

Namdev asks to stay humble, Eknath sees God in all beings, Tukaram asks for the company of saints and mutual help, Ramdas longs for the people's welfare.

गाडगे महाराजांनी शिक्षण व स्वतःचा उद्धार सांगितला; तुकडोजी महाराजांनी स्वच्छता, सेवा व ज्ञान सांगून 'सर्व विश्वचि व्हावे सुखी' अशी दृष्टी मांडली.

Gadge Maharaj stressed education and self-upliftment; Tukadoji Maharaj taught cleanliness, equal-minded service and knowledge, giving the vision 'may the whole world be happy'.

विज्ञानामुळे विश्व जवळ आले, पण माणसांना जोडणारा जिव्हाळा हरवला आहे. तो जपायला मन सुसंस्कृत हवे; सुंदर मनेच राष्ट्राची खरी श्रीमंती वाढवतात.

Science has brought the world close, yet the warmth that binds people has been lost; to keep it the mind must be cultured, for beautiful minds are a nation's true wealth.

झाड ऊन सोसून सावली देते, नदी मोकळ्या मनाने वाहते. स्वतः चांगले जगावे आणि स्वार्थापलीकडे जाऊन दुसऱ्याचाही विचार करावा; तरच समाज सुखी होईल.

A tree bears the sun to give shade, a river flows freely; live well yourself and, going beyond self-interest, think of others too, only then will society become happy.
