Summary
Overlapping circles sit inside a rectangle. The rectangle holds every item being counted, including those in no circle.
Union shades both whole circles. Intersection shades just the lens where they cross.
Place the 'both' number first. Each circle's leftover = its total minus the overlap already placed.
Once every region has a number, P(event) is that region's count over n(ξ). Use n(A∪B)=n(A)+n(B)−n(A∩B) to check.
