वर्ष 2030 का नवंबर। सक्सेना परिवार का नौकर साधोराम बस दुर्घटना में घायल। धीरज सक्सेना रोबोटोनिक्स कार्पोरेशन पहुँचे।

Year 2030, November. The Saksena family's long-time servant Sadhoram was seriously injured in a bus accident and hospitalised. Dhiraj Saksena, the head of the family, decided to hire a robot and visited 'Robotonics Corporation'. A robot was cleaning the floor with a vacuum cleaner there.

काउंटर रोबोट ने स्वागत किया। धीरज सक्सेना ने बुद्धिमान रोबोट माँगा। रोबोनिल को घर भेजा गया।

The counter robot greeted him. Dhiraj asked for an intelligent robot for homework, word processing and housework. 'Very well,' said the robot. That same afternoon, an employee robot delivered Robonil to the Saksena family.

रोबोनिल घर का सब काम करने लगा। शेरू को घुमाने जाता था। वहाँ रोबोदीप से दोस्ती हुई।

Robonil took over all household duties: breakfast, welcoming guests, telling children stories, helping with homework, working on the word processor, and evening walks with the dog Sheru. During these walks he befriended Robodeep, who walked the Sharma family's dog Jhabru.

रोबोदीप ने बताया - साधोराम की छुट्टी होनेवाली है। रोबोनिल चौंक गया। दोनों ने कुछ करने की सोची।

Robodeep told Robonil: Sadhoram is about to be fired because they like Robonil so much. Robonil was shocked. He argued this violated Asimov's Laws of Robotics. The two robots had a secret discussion.

दोनों रोबोट रोबोटोनिक्स कार्पोरेशन के मालिक रोबोजीत के पास गए। उसने मना किया - अनुबंध की शर्तें हैं।

Both robots visited Robojeet, the owner of Robotonics Corporation, and explained everything. Robojeet refused - he was bound by contract terms and put business above principles. Both returned disappointed.

रोबोनिल ने एक विज्ञान कथा टाइप की जिसमें रोबोटों ने हड़ताल की। इससे उसे असली हड़ताल का विचार आया।

That night Robonil typed a science story for Dhiraj where a robot union goes on strike to reinstate a fired servant. As he typed, a flash of inspiration lit up his circuit-board mind. He rushed with Robodeep to the Robotic Sangh office. After an emergency meeting, the union declared a strike call.

हड़ताल की घोषणा से हलचल मची। रोबोजीत को झुकना पड़ा। धीरज सक्सेना ने साधोराम की नौकरी बहाल की।

The strike call threw robotic companies into panic. They pressured Robojeet to cancel the Saksena contract. Robojeet was forced to comply. Dhiraj Saksena was shaken. He had to go to the Robotic Sangh and promise: Robonil will work at Sadhoram's place till Sadhoram recovers, after which Sadhoram will be rehired. The union agreed. That evening Robodeep said: 'I'm glad no human will have to suffer because of us.'
