ಉರುಸು = ಸೂಫಿ ಪೀರ್/ಸಂತರ ಸ್ಮರಣಾರ್ಥ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಜಾತ್ರೆ. ದರ್ಗಾ ಸುತ್ತ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಭಕ್ತರು - ಧರ್ಮ, ಜಾತಿ, ವರ್ಗ ಬೇಧವಿಲ್ಲ.

Urus is the annual fair at a dargah commemorating a Sufi saint. In many Karnataka shrines it is part of community life.

At Yamanur Urs devotees from many regions gather without caste or religion dividing them.

Sandal paste, chadar offering, community meals, cultural shows and fairs - all communities participate.
