Heavenly bus comfort demands penance - waiting for the bus. One may wait at a eatery or under a shop awning; waiting for the bus is like standing on one leg doing Shiva tapas.

You run with your trunk racing the bus; dust is your reward; hope persists after a hundred deceptions. When the bus arrives it feels like Columbus seeing America or Tenzing standing on Everest.

At 9 pm he boarded the wrong bus while sipping tea; it was heading back to where he came from. Forty faces stared and smiled - hero turned zero.

Bus travel brings unexpected crises yet also stirs interest, hope in a dry life, variety in monotony and chance to study people. Travel is the author's delight.
