तरुण के स्वप्न Tarun ke Swapna (The Dreams of Youth)

नेताजी अपने भाषण की शुरुआत में कहते हैं कि सपने तो बहुत लोगों ने देखे हैं, और उनके नेता चित्तरंजन दास ने भी एक सपना देखा था। वह सपना ही चित्तरंजन दास की ताकत और खुशी का कारण बना रहा। नेताजी कहते हैं कि आज वे और उनके साथी उसी सपने के उत्तराधिकारी हैं, इसलिए उनका भी एक अपना सपना है। यही सपना उन्हें हर काम - उठना, बैठना, चलना, लिखना, भाषण देना - करने की ताकत और प्रेरणा देता है।

Netaji begins his speech by saying that many have dreamed dreams, and his leader, the late Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, had also dreamed one. That dream itself became the source of Chittaranjan Das's strength and the fountain of his joy. Netaji states that he and his companions today are the inheritors of that dream, and for this reason they too have their own dream. This dream is what inspires them to rise, sit, walk, move about, write, deliver speeches and carry out every task.

नेताजी बताते हैं कि उनका सपना क्या है - वे चाहते हैं एक नया, आज़ाद, समृद्ध समाज और उस पर एक आज़ाद देश हो। उस समाज में हर व्यक्ति हर तरह की बंदिशों से मुक्त हो और उस पर समाज का कोई दबाव न हो। वहाँ जाति का कोई भेदभाव न हो, स्त्रियाँ आज़ाद होकर पुरुषों जितने ही अधिकार पाएँ और देश की सेवा में बराबर हिस्सा लें। उस समाज में अमीरी-गरीबी का बड़ा अंतर न हो और हर किसी को पढ़ाई तथा तरक्की का बराबर मौका मिले। जहाँ मेहनत और काम की पूरी इज़्ज़त हो और आलसी लोगों के लिए कोई जगह न हो, वही देश किसी दूसरे के प्रभाव से आज़ाद रह सकेगा।

Netaji clarifies exactly what his dream or ideal is - he wants a new, all-round, free and prosperous society, and a free nation built upon it. In that society, the individual should be free from every kind of restriction and should not perish under society's pressure. In that society there should be no room for caste discrimination; women, freed, should enjoy rights equal to men and share equally in the service of society and nation. In that society there should be no economic inequality, and every person should have equal opportunity for education and progress. A society where labour and work receive full dignity, and where there is no place for the idle and the indolent, is a nation that will remain free of any foreign influence.

नेताजी आगे कहते हैं कि जो देश उनके अपने समाज के लिए काम करेगा, वह देश भारतवासियों की कमी को दूर करेगा और दुनिया के सामने एक आदर्श समाज और आदर्श देश के रूप में जाना जाएगा। नेताजी कहते हैं कि वे हमेशा से ऐसे ही समाज और देश का सपना देखते रहे हैं, और यह सपना उनके लिए हमेशा सच है। इस सपने को सच करने के लिए वे हर तरह की कुर्बानी देने, हर मुश्किल झेलने और जान देने को भी तैयार हैं, क्योंकि ऐसी मौत भी उनके लिए स्वर्ग के समान होगी।

Netaji continues, saying that a nation which works as the instrument of their own indigenous society will, above all, remove the wants of the people of India, and by giving true meaning to India's ideals, will be regarded before the world as an ideal society and an ideal nation. Netaji says he has always dreamed of just such a society and nation, and that this dream stands before him as a constant, unbroken truth. To establish this truth, he is prepared to make every kind of sacrifice, bear every hardship, and even lay down his life, for such a death too would be 'equal to heaven'.

भाषण के आखिर में नेताजी अपने युवा भाइयों से कहते हैं कि उनके पास देने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं है, सिवाय इस सपने के, जो उन्हें बहुत ताकत और खुशी देता है और उनके छोटे-से जीवन को भी मतलब भरा बनाता है। नेताजी यही सपना अपने युवा भाइयों को तोहफे के रूप में देते हुए कहते हैं कि वे इसे स्वीकार करें, ताकि आने वाली पीढ़ी भी इस आज़ाद, बराबरी वाले समाज के सपने को आगे लेकर चले।

At the close of the speech, Netaji addresses his young brothers, saying he has nothing else worth giving them except this dream, which grants them boundless strength and immense joy and gives even his own humble life meaning. Netaji offers this very dream to his young brothers as a gift and calls on them to accept it, so that the coming generation too may carry forward this ideal of a free, equal and exploitation-free society.
