મારા સપનામાં આવ્યા હરિ Hari Came into My Dream

કવિના સપનામાં હરિ પોતે જ આવી પહોંચે છે.

The poet says Hari came into his dream. Unbidden, uninvited, God himself enters the poet's sleep. This very arrival becomes for the poet an unexpected joy and a touch of grace.

લીલા રંગના, મોરપીંછવાળા હરિનું સુંદર રૂપ કવિ જુએ છે.

The poet drinks in Hari's form - emerald-green in hue, a peacock feather on the head, a yellow robe on the body. This lovely image comes alive before the poet's eyes and his mind sinks into it.

હરિને જોઈ કવિનું હૈયું ભક્તિ અને આનંદથી ભરાઈ જાય છે.

At the sight of Hari the poet's heart overflows with devotion, affection and joy. What waking life could not give, the dream gave. This meeting feels to the poet like the fruit of long yearning - a blessed moment.

સપનામાં મળેલું દર્શન ભલે હોય, એની મીઠાશ અને પ્રેમ સાચાં છે.

At the close the poet celebrates this dream-meeting. Though the vision came in sleep, its sweetness was real. For the poet devotion is not outward ritual but this pure yearning and love of the heart - and it is that love which draws God near.
