કામ કરે ઈ જીતે The One Who Works Wins (Kam Kare I Jite)

જગતમાં મહેનત કરનાર જ જીતે - એ જ ગીતની ધ્રુવપંક્તિ.

In the refrain the poet says - in this world 'the one who works wins'. The one who toils and labours wins in the end. Without labour, how else could so vast a land be transformed? For the poet, hard work is the true wealth.

ખેડૂત ખેતર ખેડે, સીમ સજાવે, નદીનાં નીર બાંધે - એની મહેનત મોટી.

The poet praises the farmer's toil. The farmer tills the field, makes the borders of the land beautiful, and channels the river's waters into the fields. By his labour the earth turns green and the land prospers. The country today asks for this labour.

ઑફિસમાં બેસી છાપાં વાંચવાથી નહીં, મહેનતથી જ કામ થાય.

The poet says with mild satire that one who merely sits in an office, moves a pen on paper and reads newspapers achieves no great work. Real strength lies in the one who moves hands and feet and sweats. Learning may be there, but without work no load is lifted.

કવિ માનવીની મહેનતનો બુલંદ સૂરે જયજયકાર કરે છે.

At the end the poet recalls the priceless songs of labour that hum in fields and orchards, and in a high voice hails human effort. Labour itself is the true worth, labour itself is the true worship - that feeling rises in the song.
