તારે પગલે In Thy Footsteps (Tare Pagle)

ભક્ત પ્રભુને કહે છે - હું તારે પગલે પગલે ચાલું.

પ્રભુનાં પગલે ચાલતાં પ્રકૃતિ ખીલી ઊઠે છે.

As one walks in the Lord's footsteps, the surrounding nature grows bright and colourful. The slope with the fragrance of wet earth, tender leaves and the water of streams make the path beautiful. Joy spreads through the devotee's heart.

રસ્તે કોયલ ટહુકે છે - જાણે કુદરત પણ ગીત ગાય છે.

Walking along the path the devotee hears the koel's sweet call, as though nature too sings at the Lord's footsteps. At every step nature, bird and the devotee's heart resound in one tune.

પ્રભુનાં પગલે ચાલવું એ જ જીવનનું મિલન-ગીત છે.

For the devotee, walking in the Lord's footsteps is the supreme aim of life. That path leads towards union with the Lord. The darkness of life dissolves, and life becomes a sweet song of union.

પ્રભુને સમર્પણ અને શ્રદ્ધામાં જ સાચી શાંતિ છે.

The message of the poem is that true peace and joy lie in surrendering life to the Lord's will and walking His path with faith. Surrender, faith and love of nature together fill the poem with devotional feeling.
