રેસનો ઘોડો The Race Horse (Resno Ghodo)

નાયક સફળતા પાછળ રાત-દિવસ દોડ્યા કરે છે, થોભતો જ નથી.

The protagonist runs ceaselessly after success, money and status. He has no time to pause, to think, or to live for himself. Day and night, one obsession - forward, ever forward.

માણસ આંખે પાટા બાંધેલા રેસના ઘોડા જેવો - બસ દોડ્યા કરે છે.

The writer likens the man to a race horse. As a horse runs with blinkers on its eyes, the man too races blindly towards a goal without looking around. Running itself has become the sole purpose of life.

દોડમાં સ્નેહ, કુટુંબ અને નાનાં સુખ બધું પાછળ રહી જાય છે.

In this race, family, affection, small joys and one's own heart are all left behind. Slowly the protagonist realises that the price of what he chased was much that was truly precious.

નાયક પોતાને પૂછે છે - આ આંધળી દોડ આખરે શા માટે?

A moment comes when the protagonist asks himself - what is all this running for? Is there really peace at the destination he raced towards? This very question is the heart of the story.

દોડ સાથે થોભીને જીવવાનું પણ આવડવું જોઈએ - એ જ સાચું જીવન.

The story says running is not wrong, but to run blindly, forgetting relationships and oneself, is the bondage of a race horse. True living means knowing how to pause, to see and to feel along the way.
