સાહિત્ય સાથે વ્યાકરણમાં સંધિ, સમાસ, કારક, કાળ, શબ્દભેદ, રૂઢિપ્રયોગ આવે છે - આ ગોખવાનું નથી, નિયમ + અભ્યાસ છે.

Grammar is tested alongside literature and rewards rules plus practice, not rote memory.

CBSE ગુજરાતી ધોરણ 10 - વ્યાકરણમાં લગભગ 15 ગુણ. સંધિ-સમાસ વિચ્છેદ, કારક ચિહ્ન, અલંકાર નામ-ઉદાહરણ, રસ, વાચ્ય બદલવું, સમાનાર્થી-વિરુદ્ધાર્થી, વાક્યશુદ્ધિ.

Class 10 grammar carries about 15 marks: analysis, alankar, ras, voice change and corrections.

કર્તરિ વાચ્ય (કર્તા મુખ્ય), કર્મણિ વાચ્ય (કર્મ મુખ્ય), ભાવે વાચ્ય (ભાવ મુખ્ય). ભૂતકાળમાં -એ ergative એ ગુજરાતી કર્મણિ જેવી રચના આપે: રામે રોટલી ખાધી.

Voice: kartari (agent-focus), karmani (object-focus), bhaave. The past ergative -e in Gujarati naturally agrees with the object.

શબ્દાલંકાર: અનુપ્રાસ (કાળી કાળી કોયલ). અર્થાલંકાર: ઉપમા (મુખ ચંદ્ર જેવું), રૂપક (મુખચંદ્ર), ઉત્પ્રેક્ષા (મુખ જાણે ચંદ્ર), અતિશયોક્તિ. પંક્તિ આપીને નામ + કારણ લખો.

Alankar: alliteration; simile (jevun), metaphor (identity), utpreksha (jaane). Quote the line, name it, give the reason.

નવ રસ - શૃંગાર (રતિ), હાસ્ય (હાસ), કરુણ (શોક), રૌદ્ર (ક્રોધ), વીર (ઉત્સાહ), ભયાનક (ભય), બીભત્સ (જુગુપ્સા), અદ્ભુત (વિસ્મય), શાંત (નિર્વેદ). દરેકનો સ્થાયી ભાવ યાદ રાખો.

Nine rasas, each with a sthayi bhaav: shringaar (rati), haasya, karun (shok), and so on.

સમાનાર્થી (પાણી = જળ, નીર), વિરુદ્ધાર્થી (સુખ × દુઃખ) વારંવાર આવે. વાક્યશુદ્ધિમાં મોટેભાગે લિંગ, ergative, નામયોગીની ભૂલ સુધારવી: તેણે પાણી પીધું.

Synonyms and antonyms recur; sentence correction is mostly gender, ergative and postposition agreement.
