દિવસો જુદાઈના જાય છે Divaso Judaina Jay Chhe (The Days of Parting Pass By)

જુદાઈના દિવસો વીતે છે, પણ એ મિલન તરફ લઈ જાય છે.

At the start the poet says the days of separation are passing. However long they stretch, he is sure all this time leads finally to reunion. So even in parting there is waiting laced with hope.

કવિ પ્રિયજનની યાદમાં ઝૂરે છે, મિલનની ઝંખના રાખે છે.

The poet pines in the memory of the beloved. He longs that his hand might reach the loved one, that they might meet even in a dream. Yet this yearning turns not into bitterness but into a sweet waiting, for in the end the beloved reaches the heart.

કવિ સુંદર પ્રતીકો ને ઉપમાઓથી વિરહ-ભાવ ઘૂંટે છે.

In the ghazal the poet uses fine images and similes - eyes, jewels, breath, wind, fire - to deepen the mood of separation and hope. Each couplet stands on its own yet is woven into the same feeling of viraha; that is the beauty of the ghazal.

છેલ્લા શેરમાં 'ગની' નામ સાથે કવિ કહે છે - ઈશ્વરકૃપાથી જ વિરહ સહ્ય બને છે.

In the closing couplet (maqta) the poet uses his pen-name 'Gani'. He says the fire in the heart has been made bearable only by God's grace upon 'Gani'. The breath may go with the wind, yet the longing for reunion never dies. Thus the ghazal ends on the peak of separation's feeling.

ગઝલનો સૂર આશાવાદી છે - વિરહ એ મિલનની તૈયારી.

The whole ghazal sounds a note not of despair but of hope. Separation brings pain, but the poet treats it as a preparation for reunion. He accepts the days of parting calmly, knowing that without separation the joy of meeting cannot be understood.
