બહાદુર બાળકો Brave Children (Bahadur Balko)

વીરતા માટે ઉંમર નહીં, હિંમત જોઈએ; નાનાં બાળકો પણ બહાદુર બની શકે છે.

The writer says bravery does not need age. In many states of India small children have shown indomitable courage in moments of danger. Their stories of daring inspire other children.

Vishal Katolkar braved the river at Vapi to pull two drowning children to the bank. Likewise Jabal Marathe saved a companion drowning in a water body during an excursion. Both saved another life without caring for their own.

ગુંજને દીપડાથી ડર્યા વિના ભાઈને છોડાવ્યો.

Gunjan Sharma of Assam saw a leopard dragging away her little brother. Without fear she ran, drove the leopard off with a stick and shouts, and freed her brother from its grip. Her presence of mind and fearlessness saved his life.

રીપાએ આગમાંથી ભાઈને કસીને બહાર કાઢ્યો.

When Ripa Das of Tripura woke, fire was spreading fast through the house. Sensing the danger she held her little brother tight and ran out through the flames. Much was burnt to ashes in that terrible fire, but Ripa saved her brother.

આ બાળકોને રાષ્ટ્રીય સન્માન મળ્યું; હિંમત ઉંમર પર નહીં, સ્વભાવ પર છે.

For their daring these children were honoured and rewarded at the national level. The message is clear - courage, daring and concern for others depend not on age but on a person's nature.
