रथचक्र The Chariot Wheel

लेखक पुरी में भगवान जगन्नाथ की मशहूर रथयात्रा देखने जाता है। वहाँ लाखों लोगों की बहुत बड़ी भीड़ है और हर तरफ जय-जयकार हो रही है। रथ बहुत ऊँचा और बड़ा है, उसके पहिये भी बहुत विशाल हैं। यह सब देखकर लेखक के मन में गहरी सोच आने लगती है।

The author reaches Puri to witness the world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. Millions of devotees are gathered on all sides, the sky resounds with chants. The author is overwhelmed by the grandeur of the chariot and its enormous wheels. This sight triggers a deep contemplation in his mind.

लेखक रथ के बड़े पहिये को देखता है और सोचता है कि यह पहिया जिंदगी जैसा है। जैसे पहिया बिना रुके घूमता रहता है, वैसे ही जिंदगी भी बिना रुके चलती रहती है। पहिये के नीचे सब कुछ आता-जाता रहता है, कुछ भी हमेशा के लिए नहीं रहता। लेखक को लगता है कि यह पहिया समय और भाग्य का निशान है।

The author looks carefully at the chariot's huge wheel and begins to see in it the cycle of life. Just as the wheel moves forward without stopping, so does life move ahead ceaselessly. The earth beneath the wheel suggests that nothing is permanent. The author feels that this wheel is not just a part of the chariot, but a symbol of time and destiny.

लाखों लोगों की भीड़ में लेखक को एक बूढ़ा तीर्थयात्री दिखता है जो चुपचाप रथ की रस्सी थामे है। इतने शोर-शराबे और धक्का-मुक्की के बावजूद उसके चेहरे पर शांति है। यह देखकर लेखक को लगता है कि भीड़ में भी अपनी भावना और सोच को बचाए रखना ही असली श्रद्धा है।

In the crowd of millions, the author spots an old pilgrim who holds the chariot rope with calm composure. Despite the noise and jostling all around, there is a strange peace and contentment on his face. This sight touches the author's heart and he begins to reflect that keeping one's own feeling alive even in a crowd is true devotion.

रथ धीरे-धीरे आगे बढ़ता रहता है और लेखक उसे देखता रहता है। पहिया नहीं रुकता, जैसे जिंदगी नहीं रुकती, जैसे समय नहीं रुकता। लेखक को समझ आता है कि चलते रहना और अपना काम करते रहना ही जिंदगी का असली मतलब है। रथचक्र बस एक पहिया नहीं, यह पूरी जिंदगी की कहानी है।

The chariot slowly moves towards its destination and the author keeps watching. The wheel does not stop, just as life does not stop, just as time does not stop. The author internalises the experience that fulfilling one's duty and remaining ceaselessly in motion is the essence of human life. The chariot wheel is not merely a mechanical wheel, but a living metaphor for the philosophy of life.

रथयात्रा खत्म होने के बाद लेखक वापस जाता है, लेकिन रथचक्र का दृश्य उसके मन में बस जाता है। वह सोचता है कि जब भी जिंदगी में मुश्किल आए, रथचक्र की याद करनी चाहिए। जो रुक जाते हैं वे पिस जाते हैं, जो साथ चलते हैं वे आगे बढ़ते हैं। यह बात लेखक के मन में हमेशा के लिए बैठ जाती है।

After the Rath Yatra ends, the author returns, but the image of the chariot wheel is imprinted on his mind. He reflects that whenever difficulty comes in life, one must remember the chariot wheel. Those who stop and tire are crushed by it; those who move along with it advance. In the end, the author realises that accepting life at its own pace is the greatest wisdom.
