La leçon parle des saisons et du temps.

This lesson introduces the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. You learn to describe the weather and to ask "What is the weather like?".

Mots du temps : il fait beau, il pleut, il neige.

Learn the seasons and weather: it is nice, it is hot, it is cold, it rains, it snows, the sun, the wind. Also learn the twelve months of the year.

il fait beau · au printemps · en hiver.

To describe weather, say "il fait" + adjective: il fait beau, il fait froid. Ask "Quel temps fait-il?". For seasons: au printemps, en été, en automne, en hiver.

En France, on skie en hiver et on part en vacances en août.

In France there are four distinct seasons. In winter it snows in the mountains and people ski. In summer many French people go on holiday in August.

Révise : les saisons, il fait beau, au / en, les mois.

Prepare: name the four seasons, describe weather with "il fait" + adjective, answer "Quel temps fait-il?", and use "au / en" with the seasons. Memorise the twelve months.
