Summary

La leçon parle de la routine de chaque jour.

This lesson tells about Pauline's day: she gets up, washes, gets dressed, has breakfast, and goes to school. You learn to describe your own routine from morning to evening.

Mots de la routine : se lever, se laver, déjeuner, se coucher.

Learn: to get up, to wash, to get dressed, to have breakfast, to go to school, to have lunch, to come home, to go to bed. Note also: the time, the morning, the afternoon, the evening.

je me lève, tu te laves, il s'habille…

Reflexive (pronominal) verbs in the present take a pronoun: je me lève, tu te laves, il s'habille, nous nous levons, vous vous couchez, ils se reposent.

Le petit-déjeuner français est léger ; la semaine commence le lundi.

In France breakfast is often light: bread, butter, jam, and a hot chocolate. You tell the time with "Il est huit heures" and the week begins on Monday.

Révise : ta routine + l'heure + les jours.

Prepare: tell your day in 5 sentences with reflexive verbs, tell the time (Il est sept heures et demie = It is half past seven), and name the seven days of the week.
