Arjun kommt am Berliner Hauptbahnhof an. Lukas wartet am Ausgang mit einem Schild. Sie begrüßen sich. Arjun findet den Bahnhof sehr groß.

Arjun arrives at Berlin Hauptbahnhof. He is excited but nervous - it is his first time in Germany. The station is enormous and very busy. Outside the exit Lukas is already waiting with a big sign saying Welcome Arjun! They hug warmly. Arjun says this station is even bigger than New Delhi station. Lukas grins and replies: Berlin is a big city, you will see many things today!

Sie suchen die Toilette und fragen einen Mann nach dem Weg. Der Mann erklärt: geradeaus, links an der Ampel, rechts der Supermarkt. Arjun versteht etwas Deutsch.

Lukas wants to show Arjun the Brandenburg Gate first. They walk out of the station. After a few minutes Arjun notices he urgently needs the toilet. They stop a passerby and ask for directions. The man explains kindly: Go straight ahead, then turn left at the traffic light, and on the right side you will see the supermarket. Next to the supermarket is the toilet. Lukas thanks him politely. Arjun is happy and a little proud because he understood some German words.

Sie sehen das Brandenburger Tor, den Tiergarten und den Fernsehturm. Der Turm ist 368 Meter hoch. Sie fahren nach oben und sehen die ganze Stadt.

They visit the Brandenburg Gate and Arjun takes many photos. Then they walk through Tiergarten park. Lukas explains: the Tiergarten is in the middle of the city and very popular. There is a lake, many cyclists and joggers. Then they take the underground to Alexanderplatz. The TV Tower is very tall, exactly 368 metres. Arjun can hardly believe it. He asks: May I go up? Of course, says Lukas. They take the lift to the top and can see the whole city from there. Arjun says quietly: That is incredibly beautiful.

Sie verlaufen sich auf dem Weg zur U-Bahn. Das Internet geht nicht. Eine Frau sagt ihnen den Weg. Sie müssen 200 Meter zurückgehen und rechts abbiegen.

On the way back to the underground station they get lost. Arjun looks at his phone but the internet is not working. Lukas tries to find the way but everything looks the same. The streets and buildings all look similar. They ask a woman at a cafe. She smiles and says: You are completely wrong! The underground station is behind you. Go back about 200 metres and then turn right. Lukas and Arjun both laugh at themselves. That happens to everyone once, says Lukas and pats Arjun on the shoulder.

Sie finden die U-Bahn und fahren nach Hause. Arjun möchte Berlin wieder besuchen. Bei Tisch erzählen sie lustige Geschichten. Es war ein toller erster Tag.

Finally they find the underground station. Tired but happy they get in and travel back to Lukas home. On the way Arjun says: Berlin is a beautiful city, I definitely want to come back! Lukas replies: Next time I will show you Museum Island and the old city. At home Lukas mother has cooked a warm dinner. At the table they tell funny stories about getting lost and laugh a lot. Arjun says: That was a perfect first day in Berlin. Thank you, Lukas! Lukas smiles: You are welcome. Goodbye, Arjun!
