पर्यावरणम् Paryavaranam (Environment)

अति आधुनिक जीवनशैली में प्रदूषण प्राणियों के सामने अभिशाप के रूप में आया है।

नदियों का पानी मैला हो गया है। धीरे-धीरे पृथ्वी वनविहीन होती जा रही है।

The water of rivers has become dirty. Slowly and gradually the earth is becoming devoid of forests.

यन्त्रों से निकली वायु से वातावरण विषैला और रोगकारक हो जाता है।

The air emitted by machines makes the atmosphere poisonous and disease-causing.

पेड-पौधे हमें केवल शुद्ध वायु ही नहीं देते, बल्कि वे हमारे जीवन के उपयोग के लिए पत्ते, फूल, फल, लकडी, औषधियाँ और छाया भी वितरित करते हैं।

Plants do not merely give us pure air; they also distribute for our use in life: leaves, flowers, fruits, timber, medicines and shade.

हमारा कर्तव्य है कि हम वृक्षारोपण, उनका संरक्षण, जल की शुचिता, ऊर्जा का संरक्षण तथा उद्यानों और तालाबों की स्वच्छता द्वारा पर्यावरण-संरक्षण का प्रयत्न करें।

It is our duty that we endeavour for environmental protection through tree-planting, their conservation, purification of water, conservation of energy and cleanliness of gardens and ponds.

जिससे चारों ओर से संसार आवृत होता है, वह पर्यावरण है।

That by which the world is enclosed on all sides and from everywhere is called 'Paryavaranam' (environment).

बाढ, अग्नि के भय, भूकम्पों, चक्रवातों और उल्कापात आदि से पीडित मानव का कल्याण कहाँ?

Where is the welfare of the human being who is tormented by floods, dangers of fire, earthquakes, cyclones and meteor-falls?
