झाँसी की रानी Queen of Jhansi

कवयित्री कहती हैं - सिंहासन पर बैठी झाँसी की रानी बुंदेलखंड के गायकों के गीतों में सुनाई देती है। वे हमेशा के लिए बहादुरी की निशानी हैं।

The poet says the Queen of Jhansi on her throne is heard in the songs of Bundelkhand's singers - an immortal symbol of valour.

बचपन से ही रानी में जबरदस्त हिम्मत थी; लखनबाई के नाम से मशहूर। शादी के बाद झाँसी की रानी बनीं; औरत होते हुए भी बहादुरी में किसी से पीछे नहीं थीं।

From childhood she showed extraordinary courage as Lakhanbai; after marriage she became Queen of Jhansi, unmatched in bravery despite being a woman.

1857 की क्रांति में रानी ने अंग्रेज़ों का सामना किया। झाँसी पर हमला हुआ; रानी ने सेना संभाली, किले की रक्षा की और कहा - मैं अपनी झाँसी नहीं दूँगी।

In the 1857 revolt she faced the British boldly; when Jhansi was attacked she led the army, defended the fort and vowed never to surrender Jhansi.

कठिन लड़ाई में रानी ने तलवार उठाई; घोड़े पर चढ़कर मैदान में आईं। आखिर में वीर की मौत हुई, पर अपनी इज्जत और आज़ादी के लिए लड़ती रहीं।

In fierce battle she wielded the sword and rode into the field. She attained martyrdom but fought to the end for honour and freedom.

कवयित्री रानी को देश की बेटी और सबसे बड़ी वीर कहती हैं। उनका बलिदान आज भी देश-प्रेम और हिम्मत की प्रेरणा है - झाँसी की रानी अमर हैं।

The poet calls her the daughter of the nation and the bravest of the brave. Her sacrifice still inspires patriotism - the Queen of Jhansi is immortal.
