यह पंचतंत्र शैली की कहानी है, चालाक लोमड़ी ने बाघ को सिखाया कि सब स्वार्थी होते हैं।
A Panchatantra-style tale of hunter Chanchal, a tiger and a clever fox.
चञ्चल नाम का शिकारी पक्षी-पशु पकड़कर जीविका चलाता था। एक दिन जाल बिछाकर घर आ गया।
There was a hunter named Chanchal who lived by catching birds and animals. One day he spread a net and went home.
सुबह वन गया तो जाल में बाघ फँसा मिला। सोचा, बाघ खा जाएगा, भागना चाहिए।
At dawn he found a tiger trapped in his net and thought of fleeing.
बाघ ने कहा, छुड़ाओगे तो नहीं मारूँगा। शिकारी ने छुड़ा दिया।
The tiger promised not to kill him if freed. The hunter released him.
बाघ ने कहा, अब तुझे खाऊँगा। शिकारी ने कहा, तुमने झूठ बोला।
The tiger said he would eat him now. Chanchal said he had lied.
बाघ बोला, भूखे के लिए कुछ गलत नहीं। नदी ने भी कहा, सब स्वार्थी हैं।
The tiger said the hungry may do anything; all seek self-interest. The river agreed.
पेड़ ने भी कहा, लोग फल खाते, कुल्हाड़ी मारते। लोमड़ी सुन रही थी।
The tree too said humans take fruit and strike with axes. A fox overheard.
लोमड़ी ने बाघ को जाल में कूदकर दिखाने को कहा। बाघ थककर फँस गया।
The fox told the tiger to show how he was caught. The tiger jumped into the net and was trapped again.
लोमड़ी ने कहा, सच कहा था, सब स्वार्थी हैं। कांटे से कांटा निकालते हैं।
The fox said he had spoken truly, all seek self-interest. One thorn removes another.
