She teaches girls cheerfully and continues her own studies alongside.

३ जनवरी १८३१ को नायगांव में जन्म; नौ साल की उम्र में ज्योतिबा फुले से विवाह।

Born on 3 January 1831 at Naigaon; married to Jyotiba Phule at age nine.

ज्योतिबा स्त्री शिक्षा के समर्थक थे; सावित्री ने अंग्रेजी भी पढ़ी।

Jyotiba supported women's education; Savitri studied English with zeal.

१८४८ में पुणे में कन्याओं के लिए पहला स्कूल खोला, उस समय वह सत्रह साल की थीं।

In 1848 she opened the first school for girls in Pune with Jyotiba, she was only seventeen.

उसने सामाजिक कुरीतियों का विरोध किया, विधवा मुंडन रोकने नाई से मिली, समानता का समर्थन किया।

She opposed social evils, met barbers to end widow head-shaving, and upheld human equality.

अकाल और प्लेग में सेवा की; १८९७ में मृत्यु। महिला उत्थान समझने के लिए उनका जीवन पढ़ना चाहिए।

She served tirelessly in famine and plague; died in 1897. Her biography must be studied to understand women's uplift in India.
