یہ دنیا حسین ہے Yeh Duniya Haseen Hai (This World is Beautiful)

भावार्थ: हर तरह से जीने की चाहत ख़ुद हसीन है, हर बुराई (शर) के बावजूद यह दुनिया हसीन है। दरिया की तेज़ बाढ़ भले ही डरावनी हो, मगर तूफ़ान से खेलता हुआ एक छोटा-सा तिनका भी हसीन लगता है। सहरा (रेगिस्तान) का सन्नाटा भले ही डराए, तो क्या हुआ - जंगल को काटकर बनाया गया रास्ता भी हसीन है।

Meaning: the desire to live, in every way, is beautiful - despite every evil, this world is beautiful. The river's fierce flood may be frightening, but even a straw playing with the storm is beautiful. So what if the desert's every silence keeps frightening - even a path cut through a forest is beautiful.

भावार्थ: लाखों काली घटाओं की गड़गड़ाहट भले ही दिल को हिला दे, मगर मिट्टी पर जो एक बारिश की बूँद गिरी है, वह भी हसीन है। रातों का अँधेरा भले ही डरावना (पुर-हौल) लगे, यह कोई ग़म की बात नहीं - सहराओं का झाँकता हुआ चेहरा (यानी रेगिस्तान की सूरत) भी हसीन है।

Meaning: even if the thunder of a million dark clouds shakes the heart, the single drop that has fallen on the soil is beautiful. The darkness of nights may seem dread-filled, but that is no sorrow - the peeping face of the deserts is beautiful too.

भावार्थ: लाखों पहाड़ भी रास्ते में रुकावट बनकर खड़े हो जाएँ, तो क्या हुआ - जो तीशा (कुल्हाड़ी/छेनी) हर पल चमक रहा है, वह भी हसीन है। लाखों मुश्किलों (सऊबतों) का सामना करना पड़े, फिर भी हर मेहनत, हर जद्दोजहद और हर अमल (काम) की माँग (तक़ाज़ा) ख़ुद हसीन है। (नज़्म के आख़िर में शायर का नाम जाँ निसार अख़्तर दर्ज है।)

Meaning: so what if a million mountains stand blocking the way - the chisel that keeps flashing moment by moment is beautiful too.
