پیسہ Paisa (Money)

भावार्थ: बच्चो, इसे पैसा कहते हैं, यह देखने में बहुत मामूली चीज़ है। मगर इसी पैसे की वजह से सारी दुनिया अपना असली रास्ता भूल बैठी है। आज हम तुम्हें इस पैसे की पूरी तारीख़ सुनाएँगे और अब तक बीते सारे युगों की झलक दिखाएँगे।

Meaning: children, this thing is called money, and it looks like a very ordinary object. But because of this money the whole world has lost its true path. Today we will tell you the full history of this money, and show you a glimpse of every age that has passed till now.

भावार्थ: दुनिया में एक ऐसा भी दौर था जब इस पैसे का नाम तक नहीं था। उस वक़्त चीज़ें सिर्फ़ दूसरी चीज़ों के बदले बेची-ख़रीदी जाती थीं, किसी भी चीज़ का कोई तय दाम नहीं होता था।

Meaning: there was once an age in this world when this money did not even have a name. At that time things were sold and bought only in exchange for other things - no object had any fixed price.

भावार्थ: चीज़ों को चीज़ों से बदलने का यह तरीक़ा बहुत बेकार सा था। सामान लाना भी मुश्किल था, उसे खींचकर एक जगह से दूसरी जगह ले जाना भी बड़ा दुश्वार (कठिन) होता था।

Meaning: this method of exchanging goods for goods was quite useless. Bringing goods was hard, and dragging them and carrying them from place to place was also very difficult.

भावार्थ: तब इंसानों ने मिलकर सोचा कि आख़िर क्यों इतना वक़्त बर्बाद करें। क्यों न ऐसी कोई चीज़ ईजाद (आविष्कार) कर लें, जिससे हर चीज़ की क़ीमत तय हो सके।

Meaning: then humans thought together - why should we waste so much time like this? Why not invent something by which the value of every object could be fixed?

भावार्थ: इस तरह हमारी दुनिया में पहला पैसा तैयार हुआ। मगर इसी पैसे की वजह से इंसान का इज़्ज़त के साथ जीना दुनिया में मुश्किल हो गया।

Meaning: this is how the first money came into being in our world. But because of it, living with dignity became difficult for human beings in this world.
