सदाचारः Sadacharah (Good conduct)

जो आचरण परंपरा से चला आया हो, वही सदाचार है। इस पाठ में छह श्लोक अच्छे व्यवहार की शिक्षा देते हैं।

Conduct handed down by tradition in a land is called sadachara. Six verses here teach its importance.

आलस्य मनुष्य का सबसे बड़ा शत्रु है। परिश्रम जैसा कोई मित्र नहीं, मेहनत करने वाला कभी दुखी नहीं रहता।

Laziness is man greatest enemy in the body. No friend like effort, one who strives never sinks.

कल का काम आज करो, दोपहर का काम पूर्वाह्न में। मृत्यु इंतज़ार नहीं करती।

Do tomorrow work today and afternoon work in the forenoon. Death does not wait.

सच बोलो, मीठा बोलो, बुरा सच और मीठा झूठ मत बोलो। यही सनातन धर्म है।

Speak truth and speak sweetly, not harsh truth nor sweet lies. This is eternal dharma.

व्यवहार में उदारता, सच्चाई, सरलता और कोमलता रखो, कभी कपट नहीं।

In conduct be generous, truthful, straightforward and gentle, never crooked.

अच्छे लोगों, गुरु, माँ और पिता की मन, कर्म और वचन से सेवा करो।

Serve noble people, teacher, mother and father always, in thought, deed and speech.

मित्र से झगड़कर कोई सुखी नहीं रहता, यह जानकर झगड़ा छोड़ दो।

No one is happy after quarrelling with a friend, knowing this, avoid it.

सुबह बिस्तर छोड़ो, पहले ईश्वर को याद करो, नित्य कर्म करके पढ़ाई करो।

In the morning leave the bed, remember God first, do daily duties then study.
