ذرّوں کو بھی انسان بنا دو Zarron ko bhi Insaan Bana Do (Turn Even the Specks of Dust into Human Beings)

भावार्थ: तुम मिट्टी के ज़र्रों (धूल के कणों) जैसे मामूली लोगों को भी इल्म देकर इंसान बना दो। अगर किसी जानवर को भी कभी इल्म मिला हो तो बताओ (यानी इंसान को तो इल्म हासिल करना ही चाहिए)। कोई अनपढ़ मिले तो उसे भी पढ़ा दो। चाहो तो जंगल को भी फूलों का बाग़ बना दो, इल्म के फूलों से नया बाग़ खिला दो, और इल्म की ताक़त से (जहालत की वजह से फैला) यह झगड़ा ही मिटा दो।

Meaning: turn even lowly, dust-like people into true human beings by giving them knowledge. If even an animal had ever gained knowledge, say so (meaning: surely then a human being must gain it too). If you find someone unlettered, teach them as well. If you wish, turn a wilderness into a garden of flowers - make a new garden bloom with the flowers of knowledge, and use the power of knowledge to wipe out this very quarrel (born of ignorance).

भावार्थ: ऐ वतन वालो! ख़ुद वतन की जान बनकर दिखाओ। असली इंसान वह है जिसके इल्म में बिजली जैसी चमक हो। ख़ुद भी पढ़ो ताकि आलिम-ओ-कामिल (पूरे विद्वान) बन सको। अगर इल्म हो तो फिर तुम्हारे लिए कुछ भी नामुमकिन नहीं। जहालत के काँटों को अलग करके काट फेंको। मुल्क में जो तफ़रीक़ (भेदभाव) है, वह जहालत की वजह से ही है। बिना इल्म के जीना भी एक तरह का मरना ही है - जैसे बिना रूह का शरीर, जिसे जला दो या दबा दो (कोई फ़र्क़ नहीं पड़ता)।

Meaning: O people of the homeland! Show yourselves to be the very life of the homeland. A true human being is one whose knowledge carries a lightning-like spark. Study yourselves too, so you may become a complete scholar. Once you have knowledge, nothing remains impossible for you. Cut away and throw off the thorns of ignorance. The division that exists in the country exists only because of ignorance. To live without knowledge is itself a kind of death - like a body without a soul, which may as well be burned or buried, it makes no difference.
