हे वैद्यराज! नमस्ते, तुम यमराज के भाई हो। यम केवल प्राण लेता है, वैद्य प्राण और धन दोनों!
Salutations, physician-king, brother of Yama! Yama takes life; physician takes life and wealth.
कवि मज़ाक में कहता है डॉक्टर यम का भाई है।
The poet jestingly calls the doctor Yama's brother.
जब शरीर बीमार हो, दवा गंगाजल और वैद्य भगवान जैसे लगते हैं।
When the body is diseased, medicine is like Ganga water and the physician like Narayana.
एक तरफ डॉक्टर बहुत महत्वपूर्ण, दूसरी तरफ बुरे डॉक्टर पर मज़ाक।
One side honours the doctor; other satirises unworthy doctors.
जहाँ साहूकार, पंडित, राजा, नदी और डॉक्टर न हों, वहाँ मत रुको।
Where banker, scholar, king, river and physician are absent, do not stay even one day.
डॉक्टर ज़रूरी है, अच्छा डॉक्टर जो ठीक करे। स्वास्थ्य रखो।
Physicians are necessary, choose one who truly heals.
