Summary
किसान परिश्रम की कविता।
Poem on the farmer as hero of labour.
घर पुराना हो पर वर्षा में खेत जोतते हैं।
House is old but they plough fields in monsoon.
हल और कुदाल से सूखी काँटेदार जमीन जोतते हैं।
With plough and spade they till dry thorny land.
पैरों में जूते नहीं, शरीर पर कपड़े भी कम।
No footwear, scarcely clothes on body.
उनके परिश्रम से खेत सदा अन्न से भरे।
By their labour fields are always full of crop.
धरती हरी-भरी; वर्षा रोकने में भी सक्षम।
Earth turns green; they can even hold back rain.
कम सुख में भी मेहनत नहीं छोड़ते।
Farmers toil despite hardship, feeders of society.
किसान का सम्मान करो; अन्न न बर्बाद करो।
Respect farmers; do not waste food.
