सौहार्दं प्रकृतेः शोभा Sauhardam Prakriteh Shobha - Harmony is Nature's Beauty

यह पाठ सिखाता है कि आपस में प्रेम और सौहार्द से व्यवहार करना चाहिए। आजकल समाज में लोग अहंकारी हो गए हैं और एक-दूसरे का अपमान करते हैं। वे अपने स्वार्थ में लगे रहते हैं और दूसरों की भलाई के बारे में कुछ नहीं सोचते।

This lesson teaches that we should behave with mutual love and harmony. Today we see that people in society have become self-absorbed and disrespect each other. Engaged only in fulfilling their own selfish desires, they think nothing of the welfare of others.

वन के पास ही एक नदी बहती है। एक सिंह सुखपूर्वक आराम कर रहा था। तभी एक बंदर आया और उसकी पूँछ खींची। क्रोधित सिंह उसे मारना चाहता था, परन्तु बंदर उछलकर पेड़ पर चढ़ गया।

Near the forest a river flows. A lion was resting comfortably when a monkey came and pulled his tail. The angry lion wanted to strike the monkey, but the monkey leapt up and climbed a tree.

फिर दूसरे पेड़ से एक और बंदर आया और सिंह का कान खींचकर पेड़ पर चढ़ गया। इसी प्रकार बंदर बार-बार सिंह को सताते रहे। क्रोधित सिंह इधर-उधर दौड़ता रहा और गरजता रहा, परन्तु कुछ भी नहीं कर सका।

Then from another tree a second monkey pulled the lion's ear and climbed back up. In this same way, the monkeys tormented the lion again and again. The angry lion ran here and there, roaring loudly, but remained completely helpless.

बंदर हँसते हैं और पेड़ों पर बैठे विभिन्न पक्षी भी सिंह की ऐसी दशा देखकर हर्षमिश्रित कलरव करते हैं। नींद टूटने के दुख से और छोटे जीवों द्वारा अपनी ऐसी दुर्दशा से थका हुआ वनराज सभी जीवों को देखकर पूछता है।

The monkeys laugh and the various birds sitting in the trees also make sounds mixing joy and laughter upon seeing the lion's pitiable condition. Exhausted by the distress of broken sleep and by his humiliation at the hands of small creatures, the forest king looks at all the animals and asks a question.

सिंह क्रोध से गरजते हुए बोला: अरे! मैं वनराज हूँ, क्या तुम्हें भय नहीं होता? सब मिलकर मुझे क्यों सता रहे हो? एक बंदर ने उत्तर दिया: क्योंकि तुम वनराज बनने के सर्वथा अयोग्य हो। राजा तो रक्षक होता है, परन्तु तुम तो भक्षक हो।

The lion roared in anger: 'Hey! I am the forest king. Do you not feel fear? Why are you all tormenting me together?' One monkey replied: 'Because you are completely unfit to be the forest king. A king is a protector, but you are a devourer.'

इस प्रकार इस पाठ में समाज में परस्पर प्रेम बढ़ाने के लिए पशु-पक्षियों के माध्यम से अहंकार दिखाया गया है और प्रकृतिमाता के माध्यम से यह निष्कर्ष निकाला गया है कि समय के अनुसार सभी का महत्त्व होता है और सभी एक-दूसरे पर आश्रित हैं।

Thus, in this lesson, through the behaviour of animals and birds, the ego present in society is depicted, and through Mother Nature, the conclusion is established that all creatures have importance according to their time and circumstances, and all are interdependent on each other.

अतः हमें अपने कल्याण के लिए आपस में प्रेम और मित्रतापूर्ण व्यवहार करना चाहिए। सभी एक-दूसरे पर निर्भर हैं। सौहार्द ही प्रकृति की सुंदरता है।

Therefore, for our own well-being, we should behave towards each other with love and friendly conduct. All are interdependent. Harmony alone is the beauty of nature.
