बुद्धिर्बलवती सदा Buddhir Balavati Sada (Intelligence is Always Powerful)

देउल नाम का एक गाँव था। वहाँ राजसिंह नाम का एक राजपुत्र रहता था। एक बार किसी आवश्यक कार्य से उसकी पत्नी बुद्धिमती अपने दो छोटे पुत्रों को साथ लेकर अपने पिता के घर की ओर चली।

There was a village called Deula. A prince named Rajasimha lived there. Once, due to some urgent work, his wife Buddhimati set off towards her father's home along with her two young sons.

रास्ते में घने जंगल में उसने एक बाघ देखा। बाघ को आते देखकर उसने साहसपूर्वक अपने दोनों पुत्रों को थप्पड़ मारते हुए कहा।

On the way, in a dense forest, she saw a tiger. Seeing the tiger approaching, she boldly slapped her sons and spoke aloud.

'एक-एक बाघ खाने के लिए क्यों झगड़ते हो? पहले इस एक को बाँटकर खाओ, फिर दूसरा कहीं मिल जाएगा।'

'Why do you quarrel over eating one tiger each? First share this one between you and eat it; then another second one will be found somewhere.'

यह सुनकर 'यह कोई व्याघ्रमारी है' यह सोचकर व्याघ्र भयभीत मन से भाग गया। वह स्त्री अपनी बुद्धि से व्याघ्र के भय से मुक्त हुई। इस संसार में बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति भी बड़े भय से मुक्त हो जाता है।

Hearing this, thinking 'this is some tiger-killer', the tiger fled with a frightened mind. That woman was freed from the tiger's fear by her own intelligence. In this world, even a wise person is freed from great fear through intelligence.

भयभीत व्याघ्र को देखकर एक चालाक सियार हँसते हुए बोला, 'आप किस भय से भाग रहे हैं?'

Seeing the terror-stricken tiger, a certain cunning jackal laughed and said, 'From what fear have you fled, sir?'

व्याघ्र बोला, 'जाओ जाओ, जम्बुक! तुम भी किसी छिपे हुए स्थान पर जाओ। जिसे शास्त्र में व्याघ्रमारी कहते हैं, उसने मुझे मारना शुरू किया था, किसी तरह जीवन बचाकर शीघ्र वहाँ से भागा।' सियार बोला, 'व्याघ्र! तूने बड़ा आश्चर्य बताया कि एक मनुष्य से भी डरता है?'

The tiger said, 'Go away, jackal! You too go to some hidden place. The one called Vyaghramari in the scriptures began to kill me; I somehow saved my life and fled quickly from there.' The jackal said, 'Tiger! You have told a great wonder, that you fear even a human?'

सियार बोला, 'स्वामी! जहाँ वह धूर्त स्त्री है, वहाँ चलिए। व्याघ्र! यदि वहाँ पुनः जाने पर वह आपके सामने आए, तो आप मुझे मार दीजिए।'

The jackal said, 'Master! Let us go to where that cunning woman is. Tiger! If on going there again she faces you, then you may kill me.'
