আমি শান্তিপুর নামে এক ছোট শহরে থাকি, নদীর ধারে।

I live in a small town called Shantipur, a quiet place beside a river. In the centre there is a big market, crowded from morning till night, surrounded by shops, a bank, a post office and an old temple. My town is not large, but everyone knows each other and the atmosphere is friendly.

শহরে স্কুল, হাসপাতাল, বাজার আর নতুন শপিং মল আছে।

Our town has many facilities. There is a large hospital, two schools and a college. In the market you can find vegetables, fish, clothes and bookshops. Recently a new shopping mall has opened, where young people go to watch films. However, the town lacks a good playing field, which everyone wishes for.

মানুষ বাস, সাইকেল আর ট্রেনে যাতায়াত করে।

Getting around the town is easy. Most people travel by bicycle, bus or auto-rickshaw. There is a railway station from which trains leave for Kolkata. Every day I go to school by bus, and it takes about fifteen minutes. But at busy times the roads get very crowded and pollution increases, which is a big problem.

ছুটিতে আমরা পার্কে, লাইব্রেরিতে আর চায়ের দোকানে যাই।

On holidays we go to the park beside the river. Children play there and adults chat. The town also has a small library, where I love to read books. In the evening, friends gather at the tea shop near the market. These small joys are what make my town special.

শহরে ভালো-মন্দ দুটোই আছে; আমি উন্নতি চাই।

There are many advantages to living in my town - it is safe, quiet and green. But there are also some disadvantages, such as crowds, pollution and a lack of jobs. In the future I want more parks, better roads and a cleaner environment in the town. I believe that even in a small town one can dream big.
