Summary
কবি বলেন, আজও জন্মভূমি ডাকে - যে মাটিতে জন্মেছি, সেই দেশ আজও আমার। সকালের আলো, মাঠের সবুজ - সব যেন মায়ের মতো।
The poet hears the homeland calling - the soil of birth remains his own.
এই মাটি রক্তে রঞ্জিত - স্বাধীনতার জন্য যারা দিয়েছেন প্রাণ। কবি স্মরণ করেন তাদের; আজও দেশের দায়িত্ব আমাদের।
Soil stained with martyrs' blood - duty remains ours today.
স্বাধীনতা এসেছে, কিন্তু দেশ গড়ার কাজ শেষ নয়। শিক্ষা, শ্রম, সততা - এগুলো দিয়ে আজকের জন্মভূমিকে গড়তে হবে।
Freedom came but building the nation continues through education and honesty.
জন্মভূমি যেন মা - যিনি সন্তানকে লালন করেছেন। কবি প্রার্থনা করেন, দেশের কল্যাণে নিজেকে উৎসর্গ করতে পারেন।
Homeland as mother - the poet prays to dedicate himself to her welfare.
‘জন্মভূমি আজ’ মানে আজও দেশের প্রতি দায়বোধ জাগ্রত রাখা - স্বাধীনতা শেষ নয়, শুরু।
Homeland today means keeping patriotism alive - freedom is a beginning.
