পরিবার বেনারসে যায় - রেল বা নৌকায়; দীর্ঘ পথ।
Family travels toward Benaras.
অপু প্রথম রেল দেখে - বিস্ময়; হুইসেল, ধোঁয়া।
Apu amazed by first sight of train.
অচেনা শহর, মন্দির, নদী - নতুন জীবনের সূচনা।
New world of city and temple.
দুর্গা নেই; কিন্তু অপু বড় হবে - গল্প এগোবে।
Without Durga, Apu will grow.
‘আম আঁটির ভেঁপু’ শেষ - কিন্তু অপুর জীবন চলমান; নতুন আশা।
Story ends but Apu's life continues.
