Why this is our moat

Portuguese gender baffles English speakers - but a Hindi speaker already feels it.

No English-only book can anchor Portuguese gender in a learner's mother tongue. Lipi does. Switch Explain in to Hindi and watch the same engine anchor o/a in the instinct you already have:

o livro · a mesa - masculine vs feminine
लड़का (m) · लड़की (f) ·laṛkā · laṛkī ·boy · girl - Hindi already splits gender
A Hindi speaker is never shocked that a table has a gender (किताب is feminine). The only new job in Portuguese is learning which gender each word takes - and the article o/a tells you every time.

Lock it in - by hand

Write the corrected sentence

After each drill, write the fixed Portuguese sentence in your own handwriting. In the app this feeds Lipi's smoothing engine and lands in your handwriting book.
