Language: original reading and writing practice built to the AQA skills, not fixed set texts. Literature: Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, studied directly from the real texts.

Literature Paper 1 (Shakespeare and the 19th-century novel) is genuinely public domain, so we teach directly from the real text. George Orwell's Animal Farm (1945) entered UK public domain in 2021, so we cover it fully too. Literature Paper 2's other set texts and the poetry anthology remain in copyright and are not covered here.
