ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਮੱਸਿਆਵਾਂ Charity, Volunteering and Global Issues

ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

Since last year I have volunteered at weekends for a local charity that distributes food to poor people. I help pack and distribute the food. This work has taught me gratitude and empathy.

ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਬੇਘਰ ਹਨ।

In my city many people live in poverty, and some are homeless. I often see homeless people on the street in winter, when conditions get harder. This makes me feel very sad.

ਸਾਡਾ ਸਕੂਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਫ਼ਤਾ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Our school organises a charity week every year, where students do various activities to raise money, like a sponsored walk. Last year we raised a lot of money for a local shelter.

ਗ਼ਰੀਬੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ।

Poverty is not only a problem in my city, it is a global problem. On the news I see people in various countries suffering from lack of food, clean water and education.

ਮੈਂ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

I believe everyone should help as much as they can. In future I want to continue volunteering, and perhaps choose a career connected to social work.
