স্বেচ্ছাসেবা ও বিশ্ব সমস্যা Charity, Volunteering and Global Issues

আমি একটি দাতব্য সংস্থায় স্বেচ্ছাসেবক।

Since last year I have volunteered at weekends for a local charity that distributes food to poor people. I help pack and distribute the food. This work has taught me gratitude and empathy.

আমার শহরে কিছু মানুষ গৃহহীন।

In my city many people live in poverty, and some are homeless. I often see homeless people on the street, especially in winter when conditions get harder. This makes me feel very sad and I think everyone in society should think about this issue.

আমাদের স্কুল দাতব্য সপ্তাহ আয়োজন করে।

Our school organises a charity week every year, where students do various activities to raise money, like a sponsored walk or selling cakes. Last year we raised a lot of money for a local homeless shelter. This kind of initiative teaches students social responsibility.

দারিদ্র্য একটি বিশ্বব্যাপী সমস্যা।

Poverty is not only a problem in my city, it is a global problem. On the news I see people in various countries suffering from lack of food, clean water and education. In my opinion, richer countries should help poorer countries more.

আমি ভবিষ্যতেও স্বেচ্ছাসেবী কাজ করতে চাই।

I believe everyone should help as much as they can, however small. In future I want to continue volunteering, and perhaps one day choose a career connected to social work.
