ஆலமரத்தடியில் விளையாட்டு தொடங்குகிறது. அணில் கைதட்டுகிறது. குயில் கூவுகிறது; கிளி தலையாட்டுகிறது.

Paadalin thodakkaththil, aalamaraththadiyil oru vilaiyaattu nadakkiradhu. Anil magizhchiyil kaithattugiradhu. Kuyil 'kukkoo kukkoo' endru inimaiyaagak koovugiradhu; adhaik kettuk kili thalaiyai aattugiradhu.

The song opens with a game under the banyan tree. The squirrel claps its hands with joy. The koel sings a sweet 'coo-coo', and hearing it the parrot nods its head. So the birds and animals begin their play.

At the end, all the animals begin to dance together, singing 'elelelo'. They all come together, run, jump and play with joy. This part shows the happiness of playing together in unity.
