Summary
A girl's dying mother tells her to stay good; the girl waters a hazel twig on the grave with her tears until it grows into a tree where a white bird lives and grants her wishes.
Central idea
Like a hazel twig grown from tears, patience can turn sorrow into something beautiful. Old tales remind us that endurance is eventually rewarded.
